Good news mate

Glad they fit and are still as functional as the OE ones.

If they do stick up a bit too far, couldnt you just grind a couple of mil off the leading edge so they fit flatter ??

And :useless:

yeah worst case ill "shave" a few mil off and refit. it wont show when mounted.
ill wait to see your opinions on it before i do.. also.. i cant help but think ive mounted them upside down. however.. if i mount them the other way.. they drop down not spring up.

i mounted the same way as i took them off and copied the oem peg perfectly.

also... i took the pictures for the thread, but please take no notice of the muck on my bike.. its still raining and looks like i went offroad withit.

its due for a date with some mucoff cleaner and a cleaning brush.. just as soon as i figure out how to make the rain stop for an hour while i give it a fettle.

if i did this right.. there are 3 pics.. from above.. from the back and how it looks from the front (front shows the odd angle)

They definately havent been fitted upside down, the curved edge allows them to tilt with the spring.

Looking properly nice there!

It looks like the pin through the peg and mount is held on with a split pin? Easy job that was then! Did you take any 'during' pics?

no during picks.. but im taking them back off to replace one of the split pins this week so will do a guide then.

basically.. remove or snip off pin... slip retaining bolt out.. save washer.. catch the spring and the infil as they drop out(this is vital, without the peg wobbles in the mounting and wont spring back)... give them a good clean with muc-off or other suitable cleaning agent... regrease moving parts with lithium coating.. slip the new peg in (angle up slightly to get the hole in alignment, put spring and insert back in through the top and press down, wiggle bolt through (from front of bike pointing backwards) washer back on end and finally, split pin (tidy pin by bending ends around so not to catch on anything.. )

peg should rotate on retaining bolt upwards..and spring should force it back down. pending on bike it may not be a straight 90degree in rested position. sitting on my r125 today ive realised that the slight raised angle isnt that bad and infact aids by making it harder for my foot to slip off.

i believe this makes me the first documented and official person to try these R6 pegs on a r125!

need advice..
ive found a company that will anodise my chain adjuster blocks, but i was left wondering..
the foot levers on the r125 are made in such a way with such materials that they seem to flake and rot over 3-4 years.. mine are begining to look grotty..

is it worth taking my footlevers off and having them anodised black... with my blue pegs and the blue hanger bolts im looking for...

or

am i better removing the footlevers, smoothing them down and spraying in a metal paint.
still with blue pegs and blue hanger bolts.

(keeping the blue,black silver theme)
